Statement of Beliefs

The Carbon - Emery Church of Christ affirms the glorious perfection of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

 (Matthew 3:13-17 and 28:18-20). 

We affirm, “there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus” 

(1 Timothy 2:5).

We affirm that “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all” 

(Ephesians 4:4-6). 

We affirm that “we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or evil”

 (2 Corinthians 5:10). 

We affirm that salvation is by grace through faith and that baptism into Christ is for the remission of sins 

(Ephesians 2:1-10, Acts 2:38 and Romans 6:1-6). 

We affirm that the highest command is to love the Lord and that Christians must love their neighbors as they love themselves 

(Matthew 22:34-40, John 13:34-35).  

We affirm, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, [and] for instruction in righteousness . . . 

(2 Timothy 3:16).”
